53rd trip to Bintulu (64,200 km) - 8th April'15

Mama Daisy all set to go back to Bintulu, not feeling well.
The growth on her right cheek is partly seen in the picture.

We have been staying for about three weeks in Kuching.  Mama Daisy  wasn't feeling good throughout the stay because of the pain around her right cheek.  In Kuching we were able to get some medicine to cure it.  When the wound was about to dry out fospa decided to leave Kuching.  We left Kuching around 9.30 am on the 8th of April and arrived Bintulu around 8.30 pm.  The whole journey was fine but Mama did not eat much.  She has lost appetite to eat.  We made the following pit stops - Serian (for breakfast), Jakar (for a short a afternoon tea) and Selangau (last pit stop before proceeding to Bintulu, and for dinner).  With this trip our cumulative traveling distance reached 64,200 km.

51st trip to Bintulu - 61,800 km (15 November'14)

Inul - a big girl now!
On this trip we focus on the roundabout near Serian.  Before entering the town of Serian the town's icon which is the king of the fruit or Durian is clearly seen.  Below the icon are the words "Selamat Datang ke Bandar Serian" which means Welcome to Serian town.  On this trip we arrived Serian at around 10 am after a short 35 minutes travel from Kuching.  On this 51st trip to Bintulu we made a few pit stops viz, Serian, Sri Aman, Jakkar and Selangau.  We arrived Bintulu at about 8.30 pm.  Here are more pics showing the Durian fruit in ferro-cement style....

50th trip to Bintulu - 60,600 km (22 August'14)

After an extended stay in Kuching, we were ready to return back to Bintulu.  We left early, around 9.15 am and arrived Bintulu at night around 8.30 pm.  It was raining for the most part of the journey especially from Sibu to Tatau, we encountered heavy rains.  Not many pictures were taken on this trip.   However there were many pictures taken of cakes in Serian.  Serian is the first pit stop after Kuching.  It is here that fospa and fosma would take their morning breakfast at every start of the long journey to Bintulu.  With this trip we achieved a totoal of 60,600 km.

45th trip to Bintulu - 26 August'13 (52,600 km)

Fospa resting his arm on Mama's back....fantastic therapy

It has been about two weeks that we spent the holidays in Kuching.  Now that the Hari Raya celebrations are over, fospa decided that we should go back to Bintulu on Monday, 26th of August.  On this 45th trip to Bintulu we had an additional passenger on board.  Fospa and fosma agreed to give him a free ride to Bintulu.  We started the journey around 9.30 am in fine weather.

Underneath the leaves cover is hidden our special passenger.  The leaves were taken from the garden to be used as shield against the hot sun.  The special passenger is a tomcat belonging to fospa's niece.

First pit stop was at Serian.  At the Serian fish market there were many foreign tourists who took pictures and having fun time talking to the fish mongers about the different types of fishes for sale.

Inul saw many buses and lorries stopping at Selangau.  Selangau is the last pit stop before we drove straight to Bintulu.  From Selangau it took us 1 hour 30 minutes to reach Bintulu.
